Parks 2025

In South Australia we enjoy a great lifestyle – surrounded by national parks, beautiful beaches and impressive landscapes. Our parks are the cornerstone of our state’s conservation efforts, bolster regional economies, and help to make South Australia one of the most liveable places in the world.
In 2020, the South Australian Government launched its Parks 2025 Strategy – an investment strategy for key parks across the state.
The aim of the strategy is to improve visitor facilities in those key parks and also to open up more opportunities for the Government to partner with non-government organisations and the private sector on nature-based tourism opportunities to further enhance the visitor experience.
The Government is committed to ensuring there are opportunities for local community members and organisations to contribute their ideas to bring Parks 2025 projects to life – and create more places for you to connect with nature, spend time with family, relax, walk, ride, explore, drive, fish and camp. On this site we will share links to key Parks 2025 projects as they progress and identify the opportunities available to you as community members or stakeholders to participate in the helping to plan for the future of these parks.
